Rex R. Vogan II, Psy.D.
Clinical & Sport Psychologist

Devoted to creating opportunities for emotional and psychological growth by increasing awareness and insight that can lead to positive life changes.
Therapy is Work
Entering into psychotherapy takes courage, a willingness to sit with your vulnerability while in the presence of another human being, and patience. Making the choice to take responsibility for your well-being and truly engaging in the process, is a sign of strength and resilience. Although this process can be difficult at times, it is an investment in yourself that can result in positive, healthy,  life long changes. I consider it an honor to participate in the active process of identifying what clients want to change, determining which patterns no longer serve them, and supporting individuals to live authentically.
Common Areas of Focus
Common areas of focus include Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders (such as Depression and Bipolar Disorder), Personality Disorders, Sport Retirement, Trauma, Abuse Recovery, Life Transitions, Separation/Divorce, Sport Injury, Anger Management, Relationship Difficulties, Bullying, Grief, and Increasing Mental Toughness.

Existential-Humanistic Persepctive

Whether working with an athlete or non-athlete, Dr. Vogan is passionate about his Existential-Humanistic Orientation because he believes it is more then just another model of psychology; it is a way of being in the world that promotes individual responsibility; emphasizes the importance of creating meaning in one's life; acknowledges the limitations of being human; stresses the importance of insight; focuses on the emotional world of the client, and promotes the integration of all parts of the individual that makes them unique and whole.
